Specifications

Product typeCompounded dry powder blend made to the buyer's formula. Not a single chemical entity, so no single CAS number applies to the finished blend.
Beta-alanineCAS 107-95-9, C3H7NO2, MW 89.09, assay >=99.0%. ISSN position stand cites 4-6 g/day for 2-4 weeks, usually split into 1.6 g doses.
L-citrulline DL-malate 2:1CAS 54940-97-5. At a 2:1 molar ratio the mass split is about 72.3% L-citrulline to 27.7% DL-malic acid; trade specs run 62.5-74.2% citrulline.
Caffeine anhydrousCAS 58-08-2, C8H10N4O2, MW 194.19. USP/BP/EP grade. ISSN position stand cites 3-6 mg per kg body mass for performance dosing.
Optional activesTaurine 107-35-7, betaine anhydrous 107-43-7, L-tyrosine 60-18-4, L-arginine 74-79-3, creatine monohydrate 6020-87-7, malic acid 6915-15-7.
ExcipientsSilicon dioxide E551 (CAS 7631-86-9) up to 2% as anti-caking agent; sucralose E955 (56038-13-2), acesulfame K E950 (55589-62-3) or steviol glycosides.
Appearance and solubilityFree-flowing powder, colour set by the flavour system. Blended to pass 40 mesh; disperses fully in 250-300 mL water with brief stirring.
Moisture (LOD)<=5.0% typical for the amino/caffeine base. Beta-alanine and citrulline malate are hygroscopic - keep sealed and desiccated in humid ports.
Heavy metalsLead <=0.5, arsenic <=0.5, cadmium <=0.3, mercury <=0.1 mg/kg, or tighter to the destination monograph. ICP-MS on every batch.
MicrobiologyTotal plate count <=10,000 cfu/g; yeast and mould <=500 cfu/g; E. coli absent/g; Salmonella absent/25 g; S. aureus absent/g.
Allergen statusNo milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, gluten, sesame or nut input in the standard base. Re-declare if the buyer's formula adds whey, creamer or nut flavour.
Origin and diet statusAll standard actives synthetic or fermentation-derived, no animal-derived input. Vegan and vegetarian suitable. Taurine is synthetic, not bovine-derived.
Caffeine labellingEU Reg 1169/2011 Annex III 4.1: reconstituted drink above 150 mg/L needs the high-caffeine statement; 4.2 covers non-beverage foods with added caffeine.
Shelf life24 months from manufacture, unopened, below 25 C and 60% RH.

The Pre-Workout Blend is a made-to-formula dry powder base rather than a single ingredient. Thovek compounds it from characterised, individually documented actives: beta-alanine (CAS 107-95-9, C3H7NO2, MW 89.09), L-citrulline DL-malate 2:1 (CAS 54940-97-5), caffeine anhydrous (CAS 58-08-2, C8H10N4O2, MW 194.19), taurine (CAS 107-35-7), betaine anhydrous (CAS 107-43-7), L-tyrosine (CAS 60-18-4), L-arginine (CAS 74-79-3) and creatine monohydrate (CAS 6020-87-7). Each active arrives with its own CoA, and the blend CoA reports both the active dosing per serve and the finished blend's physical, heavy-metal and microbiological results. Dosing is the commercial decision that separates a credible pre-workout from a label-dressed one, so we build to published intake ranges rather than to pixie-dust levels. The International Society of Sports Nutrition position stands cite 4-6 g/day of beta-alanine for at least 2-4 weeks to raise muscle carnosine (commonly split into 1.6 g doses to limit paraesthesia) and 3-6 mg caffeine per kg body mass; citrulline malate work in the same literature clusters around 6-8 g. Buyers who want a clinically dosed sachet and buyers who want a 10 g scoop for a mainstream tub both get a formula worksheet showing what each serve actually delivers before we mill and blend. All actives in the standard base are synthetic or fermentation-derived, so the blend carries no milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, gluten or nut input and is suitable for vegan and vegetarian claims - taurine included, which is manufactured synthetically despite the name's bovine origin. Caffeine content drives destination labelling: under EU Regulation 1169/2011 Annex III, a reconstituted beverage above 150 mg caffeine per litre must carry "High caffeine content. Not recommended for children or pregnant or breast-feeding women", and a non-beverage food with caffeine added for a physiological purpose must carry "Contains caffeine. Not recommended for children or pregnant women" with the content declared. We supply the numbers needed for that declaration with every batch.
