Endurance Energy Gel (2:1 Maltodextrin-Fructose)

Thovek makes this endurance gel as a finished, fill-and-label product on a maltodextrin and crystalline fructose base in a 2:1 ratio. Maltodextrin (CAS 9050-36-6) at DE 10-20 carries the bulk of the energy load without driving osmolality up; crystalline fructose (CAS 57-48-7) makes up the balance. The split is deliberate rather than cosmetic — glucose-derived carbohydrate saturates the intestinal SGLT1 transporter at roughly 60 g per hour, and fructose crosses on GLUT5 instead, which is the basis of the multiple-transportable-carbohydrate work published by Jeukendrup and colleagues. A standard 30 g sachet delivers 22-24 g of carbohydrate; the 60 g race format delivers 40 g. Everything above the carbohydrate base is built to your brief. Sodium runs 100-400 mg per sachet from trisodium citrate dihydrate (CAS 6132-04-3) and sodium chloride (CAS 7647-14-5). Anhydrous caffeine (CAS 58-08-2, C8H10N4O2, MW 194.19) can be dosed at 25, 50, 75 or 100 mg, or left out entirely, which is our default. Texture comes from xanthan gum (CAS 11138-66-2), sodium alginate or pectin, and we set viscosity according to whether the gel is meant to be taken with water or without. Shelf stability is achieved either by pH and water-activity control with no preservative at all, or with potassium sorbate (CAS 24634-61-5) inside the destination market's permitted level — tell us which route your label needs. The standard build is vegan and free of milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean and tree nut, and the maltodextrin is maize- or tapioca-derived and therefore gluten-free; wheat-derived maltodextrin is used only on written request and is declared on both label and specification. No World Anti-Doping Agency prohibited-list substance is added, which is also what Indian FSSAI rules for food for sportspersons require, and lots can be routed through third-party sports-supplement batch screening.
