Thovek manufactures vitamin C with zinc tablets to order in effervescent, film-coated and chewable presentations. Vitamin C is supplied as L-ascorbic acid (CAS 50-81-7, C6H8O6, molar mass 176.12 g/mol, water solubility about 330 g/L), or as sodium ascorbate or calcium ascorbate where a less acidic profile is wanted, or as ethylcellulose-coated ascorbic acid where extra moisture protection is needed in a compressed pack. Zinc is dosed from a choice of salts and always declared on the label as elemental zinc: zinc gluconate provides 14.35% zinc, zinc sulphate monohydrate (molar mass 179.47 g/mol) roughly 36%, and zinc oxide (molar mass 81.41 g/mol) roughly 80%, with zinc citrate and zinc bisglycinate also offered. Vitamin C is a water-soluble vitamin required for collagen synthesis and acts as a reducing agent in the body, and zinc is an essential trace element that serves as a cofactor in a large number of metalloenzymes. Common commercial strengths are 500 mg or 1000 mg vitamin C with 10 mg or 15 mg elemental zinc, adjusted to whatever the destination market permits. Effervescent tablets are built on a sodium bicarbonate couple with citric and/or tartaric acid, blended, granulated and compressed in a dedicated low-humidity suite, since the acid-base couple reacts with atmospheric moisture; tubes are closed with desiccant stoppers immediately after packing. Ascorbic acid is a strong reducing agent, so it is kept away from moisture and from oxidising excipients during processing, and overages are fixed from stability data rather than a flat allowance. Film-coated tablets use an HPMC system; chewable tablets are compressed uncoated with a sweetener and flavour system. Release testing covers ascorbic acid by HPLC or titrimetry, zinc by AAS or ICP-OES, disintegration time in water, pH of the reconstituted solution, hardness, friability, weight variation, heavy metals and microbial limits. The product is offered as a private-label and OEM service. Buyers choose strength, zinc salt, flavour (orange, lemon, mixed fruit or blackcurrant), sugar-free or sweetened base, tube or blister or bottle format, and supply their own artwork; additions such as vitamin D3, selenium, rosehip extract, citrus bioflavonoids or elderberry extract are formulated in on request. Minimum order quantities are set per SKU and kept workable for first orders and market-test runs, with pilot batches available before a full production campaign. Documentation supplied with each shipment includes a batch certificate of analysis, MSDS, GMP certificate, FSSAI licence copy, certificate of free sale or export NOC, and allergen, non-GMO and BSE/TSE declarations. Any on-pack nutrition or function statement remains the importer's responsibility under the rules of the destination market, for example EU Directive 2002/46/EC on food supplements or the US dietary supplement cGMP at 21 CFR Part 111.
