Thovek manufactures multivitamin tablets to customer specification for supplement brands, contract manufacturers and importers. Tablets are produced by wet granulation or direct compression depending on the blend, then compressed to an agreed shape, weight and hardness — round, oval or caplet, plain or debossed with your logo. A tablet suits a broad-spectrum vitamin blend well: it carries a high active load in a small unit, holds up to blister packing and long sea transit, and can be coated to mask taste and protect light-sensitive actives.
Formulations typically draw on the thirteen vitamins recognised in general multivitamin practice — A, D3, E, K, C, B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B3 (niacin or niacinamide), B5 (pantothenate), B6 (pyridoxine), B7 (biotin), B9 (folate) and B12 (cyanocobalamin or methylcobalamin) — with trace minerals or plant extracts added where the brief calls for them. Strengths are declared against the reference values of the destination market: ICMR-NIN RDA for India, the Nutrient Reference Values in Annex XIII of Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 for the EU, or the Daily Values used in the US Supplement Facts panel under 21 CFR 101.36. Indian-market product is formulated and licensed under the Food Safety and Standards (Health Supplements, Nutraceuticals, Food for Special Dietary Use, Food for Special Medical Purpose, Functional Food and Novel Food) Regulations, 2016, food product category 13.6, and is held to a maximum of one RDA per daily dose. Vitamin overages are set from stability data so the label claim holds to the end of shelf life. Coating is normally an HPMC-based film; a titanium-dioxide-free film is used for EU-bound goods, since E 171 was withdrawn as a permitted food additive by Commission Regulation (EU) 2022/63 with effect from 7 August 2022.
Each batch is released against a certificate of analysis covering vitamin assay by HPLC or UV, weight variation, hardness, friability, disintegration, heavy metals and microbiological limits. Importers are supported with a GMP certificate, the FSSAI manufacturing licence, a certificate of free sale and an export health certificate, allergen and non-GMO statements, stability data and a certificate of origin. Artwork, carton design and regulatory copy can be supplied by the buyer or developed with our team. Minimum order quantities are kept workable for first orders and new SKUs; talk to us about the batch size you need rather than assuming a pallet-scale minimum.
