Punarnava extract is produced from the dried root of Boerhavia diffusa L., a Nyctaginaceae herb of the Indian subcontinent used in Ayurvedic practice and traded as Rakta Punarnava. Thovek supplies it as a native ratio extract at 4:1 and 10:1 on a dry basis, and as an enriched grade assaying 20-40% total saponins by gravimetry. Water and hydro-alcoholic extractions are both available; the solvent, the herb-to-extract ratio and the plant part are stated on every batch certificate rather than left to a generic label. Punarnava needs more identity care than most Ayurvedic raw materials, and buyers should price that in. The Ayurvedic Pharmacopoeia of India recognises more than one botanical under the name Punarnava, and market samples of Rakta Punarnava are frequently adulterated with Trianthema portulacastrum, sold locally as Shweta Punarnava. Every lot is confirmed by macroscopy, microscopy and HPTLC fingerprint against authenticated B. diffusa material. We also decline to sell against a punarnavine percentage: recent analytical work reports that the material historically called punarnavine is not a single well-defined alkaloid, so a number quoted against it would not be meaningful or reproducible between labs. Buyers who need a numeric release figure should take the gravimetric saponin grade, or nominate a marker for which we can validate a method. The extract is plant-derived, vegan and vegetarian, non-GMO, and free from milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, peanut, tree nut and gluten-containing cereals. Where a drying carrier is needed it is maize- or tapioca-derived maltodextrin or gum acacia, both gluten-free, and the carrier with its botanical origin is declared on the specification. Standard export packing is 25 kg fibre drums with double food-grade liners, with 1 kg and 5 kg foil pouches for pilot lots. Also cold-water-soluble spray-dried grade, carrier-free grade where yield permits, steam-sterilised low-microbial grade, and certified organic (NOP/EU) on contract. Whole-plant (panchanga) in place of root on request. Mesh cuts at 40, 60 and 80.

Packaging: 25 kg fibre drums with double food-grade LDPE liners, palletised and shrink-wrapped, 500 kg to 600 kg per pallet. 1 kg and 5 kg aluminium-foil laminate pouches for samples and pilot lots. Nitrogen flushing and inner desiccant on request. Store below 25 C at under 60% RH, away from direct light; reseal liners immediately after decanting.
