Coleus forskohlii extract (Forskolin)

Coleus forskohlii extract is produced from the dried tuberous root of Indian coleus, a Lamiaceae cultivated commercially in Gujarat, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra. The root is the part that carries meaningful forskolin, a labdane diterpene with the formula C22H34O7, molar mass 410.51 and CAS 66575-29-9; leaf, stem or whole-plant material is not an acceptable substitute and is a common source of underassayed goods in this category.
