In Indian trade the name Brahmi points at two different plants: Bacopa monnieri (L.) Wettst. in the north, and Centella asiatica (L.) Urb. - Mandukaparni, gotu kola - in much of the south. That ambiguity is the single commonest source of substitution disputes in nootropic sourcing. This product resolves it by carrying both botanicals in one blend, each named by Latin binomial, each standardised on its own chemistry, and each assayed on the finished mix rather than assumed from the component certificates. The standard build is 60:40 by weight, Bacopa to Centella, using a 20% total-bacosides Bacopa extract and a 10% asiaticosides Centella extract, which delivers total bacosides not less than 12% and asiaticosides not less than 4% on the blend. Bacopa contributes the triterpenoid saponins bacoside A3, bacopaside I, bacopaside II, the jujubogenin isomer of bacopasaponin C and bacopasaponin C, reported together as total bacosides; Centella contributes asiaticoside and madecassoside with their genins, asiatic and madecassic acid. Fix the bacoside method on your specification before ordering - UV and USP-method HPLC figures are not interchangeable, and a 20% UV number is not a 20% HPLC number. Other ratios (50:50, 70:30) and higher-strength builds using 50% bacoside and 20% triterpene components are made to order, with the ratio and both assay limits printed on the batch CoA. Blending is done in a V-blender or ribbon blender and screened to 80 mesh, with uniformity verified by assaying top, middle and bottom draws from each lot - a two-component botanical blend with different bulk densities will segregate if this step is skipped. The blend is vegan and vegetarian, non-GMO, and free of milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, gluten, sesame and nut inputs.
