Aloe vera extract 200:1 is the decolorised inner-leaf fillet gel of Aloe vera (L.) Burm.f. (Asphodelaceae), the species still widely written as Aloe barbadensis Mill. and listed in cosmetic formulations under the INCI name Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder. The green rind and the bitter, aloin-bearing latex layer immediately beneath it are stripped before processing; the remaining clear fillet gel is depulped, carbon-treated to decolorise it, concentrated and spray dried. The 200:1 designation is a reconstitution ratio, not a marketing multiplier: 200 kg of single-strength inner-leaf gel yields 1 kg of powder, and 1 g of powder taken back to 200 g with water rebuilds a 1X gel. That ratio is close to the plant's natural solids yield, because fresh inner-leaf gel is 99-99.5% water and only 0.5-1.0% dry solids. Note that 200:1 describes the powder only; a liquid gel or juice is single strength by definition and cannot carry the ratio. Two numbers decide quality on this product. The first is aloin: the International Aloe Science Council sets a limit of aloins A and B below 10 ppm for aloe products intended for internal use, and properly decolorised inner-leaf gel powder is routinely certified far below that, commonly under 1 ppm and often below 0.1 ppm when reconstituted to 1X. The second is polysaccharide: the IASC certification programme requires at least 5% acemannan, the beta-1,4-acetylated glucomannan, on a dry-weight basis, assayed by NMR, and treats detectable acemannan as the identity test for genuine aloe. A carrier-free 200:1 powder is normal for this grade; 100:1 and 40:1 grades in the market are usually cut roughly 50:50 with maltodextrin, so always read the carrier line on the COA before comparing prices per kilo. Two regulatory points matter commercially and neither is a comment on this material's safety. California Proposition 65 has listed "Aloe vera, non-decolorized whole leaf extract" as a chemical known to cause cancer since 4 December 2015, with warning obligations from 4 December 2016; decolorised inner-leaf gel is a different article and is not the listed substance, but buyers shipping into California should confirm which article their specification actually describes. In the EU, Commission Regulation (EU) 2021/468 added aloe-emodin, emodin, danthron and preparations from the leaf of Aloe species containing hydroxyanthracene derivatives to Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1925/2006; the General Court annulled the aloe-preparations entry on 13 November 2024 in Case T-189/21, the Commission appealed on 22 January 2025 in Case C-38/25 P, and that appeal is still live, so EU buyers should confirm the current position before launch. Material is Indian origin, vegan and vegetarian, and carries no milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, gluten or nut input. Each lot ships with a certificate of analysis covering identity, acemannan, aloin, moisture, pH, heavy metals, pesticide residues and microbiology.

Packaging: 20 kg or 25 kg fibre drums with double food-grade LDPE liner and desiccant; 5 kg and 10 kg aluminium foil laminate bags, heat sealed and nitrogen flushed for hygroscopic protection; 1 kg foil pouches for trials.
