Thovek supplies branched-chain amino acids pre-blended in the standard 2:1:1 ratio — 50 % L-leucine (CAS 61-90-5), 25 % L-isoleucine (CAS 73-32-5) and 25 % L-valine (CAS 72-18-4) by weight. Leucine and isoleucine share the molecular formula C6H13NO2 (131.17 g/mol); valine is C5H11NO2 (117.15 g/mol). All three are essential amino acids, meaning they are not synthesised in the body and must be supplied by the diet. The material is a dry physical blend of three separately manufactured, fermentation-derived amino acids rather than a single chemical compound, and each component is assayed and released before blending. The three constituents differ markedly in water solubility — roughly 85 g/L for L-valine, 34 g/L for L-isoleucine and 22 g/L for L-leucine at 25 °C — and leucine in particular wets poorly, which is why plain BCAA powder tends to float and clump when stirred into water. For beverage, stick-pack and shaker applications a lecithin-instantised grade (soya or sunflower lecithin) is available that disperses in cold water without a wetting agent added at the brand's end. The standard cut is approximately 95 % through 60 mesh (250 µm), with 40 mesh and 80 mesh available where flow or blend uniformity on a tablet or capsule line dictates. Non-GMO and vegan fermentation streams are available. Every lot ships with a certificate of analysis covering ratio verification, assay of each amino acid, appearance, particle size, loss on drying and microbiological limits, together with heavy-metal results — lead, arsenic, cadmium and mercury reported individually against USP <232> and Ph. Eur. 2.4.8 criteria. Allergen, GMO, BSE/TSE, kosher and halal statements are issued with the shipping set. Standard export packing is 25 kg net in double food-grade LDPE liners inside fibre drums, palletised and shrink-wrapped. Because the blend is a mixture and not a separate chemically defined compound, it classifies under HS 2106.90.99 as an amino-acid preparation for human nutrition, not under Chapter 29.
