Brahmi and Shankhpushpi Memory Tonic

This is a two-botanical formula that Thovek contract-fills either as an oral syrup or as capsules. The lead herb is brahmi, Bacopa monnieri (L.) Pennell — also cited as (L.) Wettst. — of the Plantaginaceae, whose characteristic constituents are the bacosides: dammarane-type triterpenoid saponins carrying jujubogenin or pseudo-jujubogenin aglycone units, alongside the related bacopasides. We standardise the Bacopa fraction at 20%, 40% or 50% total bacosides, with bacoside A (C41H68O13, MW 769.0) available at 20% by HPLC where a single-marker assay is required. The second herb is shankhpushpi, and buyers should know that this Ayurvedic name is genuinely ambiguous in trade. It is applied to Convolvulus prostratus Forssk. (synonym Convolvulus pluricaulis Choisy, Convolvulaceae), to Evolvulus alsinoides and to Clitoria ternatea, and those are not interchangeable on a specification sheet or in a regulatory dossier. Thovek ships Convolvulus prostratus whole-plant material unless the purchase order names a different species, and confirms identity by HPTLC against the coumarin scopoletin (C10H8O4, MW 192.17), a documented constituent of this species. Please state your intended species in writing at enquiry stage so the CoA, the label and your dossier agree. The syrup is filled at 100, 200 or 450 mL in amber PET or amber glass, on a sucrose base or a sugar-free sorbitol base, preserved with sodium benzoate and/or potassium sorbate within the limits your market allows. The capsule variant runs 400-500 mg of blended fill in a size 0 HPMC shell. Both builds are vegan and vegetarian — no honey, no bovine, porcine or marine input — and free from milk, egg, soy, fish, crustacean, gluten, peanut and tree nut.
